Copying and Pasting Content from MS Word to Outlook into Sakai

Last Updated: Aug 16, 2017 12:16PM EDT
When copying content from MS Word or Outlook into Sakai, you need to use the Paste from Word tool. Otherwise, invisible characters might also be transferred that make your content unreadable to the users of the site.

1. Highlight the content to be copied from Word and select Copy.

2. In Sakai, go to the tool where you wish to paste the content. Place the curser where you want the content pasted. Click the Paste from Word tool in the visual text editor's toolbar.

3. The Paste from Word window will pop-up. Paste what you copied in Word into this Window then click the OK button.

4. Your content with most of the common formatting preserved but the invisible code that can cause issues will now be pasted in the visual text editor where you wanted it.
